My rose

I was bored one morning and had nothing to do. So, I took a picture of the rose that was on my dining table.

When is your second one coming along?

This is the much asked question during family gatherings nowadays... Before I got married, the question was, "when are you getting married?" After I got married, the question was,"So when you plan to start a family?"

This progression seemed to be the usual sequence for many. The ever inquisitive relatives will say,"aiyoh, better give birth to more before you turn 35." Easy for you people to say that cos you are NOT the ones who had to carry the baby for 10 months, go thru the birthing process and nuture the child to adulthood. I am not too sure if I am ready for my second one. A lot of them told me that one is NOT enough, two will be better. But I really dread the thought of having to wake up at night to attend to the needs of the baby and having my freedom curbed. Of course you may say, well it is all worth it at the end of the day ....I agree ...but still....

Lots of "firsts" for Isaac last sunday

Isaac scored lots of "firsts" last Sunday. He went on his first bus ride. We wanted to buy groceries from Vivo and thus decided to take a bus down to Vivo. It was a quick 5 minutes bus ride and he was so curious...turning his head here, there and everywhere..absorbing the sights and noise from the bus. He refused to let us snap pics of him during the bus ride but we managed to take some pics along the way to the bus stop. After buying our groceries, we took cab back. This was also his first cab ride and in the afternoon we went to the National Library at Victoria Street....also his virgin trip to the library.

Isaac was so well behaved at the library. he did not scream (thankfully!)and was happily flipping books

My third day of school hols

Ok, you guys can guess from this picture that I am seriously bored. Nothing better to do but to take a picture of my reflection in the mirror. Today's the third day of hols, I am done with my grading as well as UT marking. I am supposed to start on the research abstract, review and do some readings on soci but somehow,I have no mood to do these things. I have been surfing web and reading on celebrities' blogs.

24K gold mask

Went for facial today. Beautican introduced this latest mask of theirs - 24K gold mask. Apparently, this gold facial mask is supposed to rejunvenate your skincells, resulting in firm skin, reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and fairer complexion. My face does feels supple after the treatment, but to sign up for this, i need to part with more than 400 dollars per session. You got to be kidding man. I might as well use this money on my precious darling.

Cheongster

Last saturday, my friends and I went to St James Power Station. It has been ages since we last went to one. We used to be such cheongsters but now...sigh...counting back, we had not stepped into a club for at least 21 months (starting from the day I was pregant..yes, it was THAT long ago)

So we decided to keep ourselves updated and thus, our saturday's visit to the revamped power station. We went to Movida@ St James. Great music - Carribean samba, African drums to Indian Tabla, world music that keeps you on your feet most of the time. Unfortunately I was too tired to enjoy the music. Friends said I am too old. But hey, you guys dun have to wake up at 4 plus to attend to the needs of a hungry baby. Nevertheless, it was a good evening.
