Nothing beats seeing it with your eyes...Part 1

Exciting, stressful, lots of adjustments, enriching are just some of the adjectives I can use to describe March. Desmond accepted the offer to relocate to Beijing. We had to rent our house, pack and get them ready for our new tenants. We finally finished packing on Tuesday, one day before he was due to fly off. It was tough, having to unearth five years of things in the house and packing them into boxes. Our flight was in the morning, we had to be in the airport by 6.30am. We could not bring Isaac along as this trip was a recee trip for me. For me to find out how Beijing is like, living conditions over there as well as the schools and medical services over there. Isaac seemed to know that his daddy and mummy were leaving sg. He woke up at 5am, say goodbye to daddy and then went to sleep again at 6 plus.

Walking to the departure gate in Changi.

Transit in Bangkok, Thailand new terminal

Desmond taking a stretch in the plane. Check out his messy hair. He has been sleeping since take off.

Finally touch down at Beijing International Capital Airport at about 1630hrs. 小黄,The driver from his office came to pick us up and send us to our hotel. The moment we stepped into the car park, a bout of chilly wind came gushing onto our face…both Desmond and I looked at each other and for a second , we thought that they air conditioned the car park as well!!!

Hairless trees….

Our dinner on the first night in Beijing. We ate at a food court (北城购物中心)near our hotel. Very big portion and salty. 刀削面 – not bad, just like ban mian in Singapore.
